How It Works
What does OAM stand for?
OAM stands for Odor Absorbing Molecules. It is our proprietary plant-based, biodegradable, non-toxic formula made without harmful chemicals, enzymes, or nerve agents. OAM is manufactured in the USA and is the same technology used across our full brand family.
How does The Stink Solution actually eliminate odors?
OAM Technology works in five steps the moment it contacts an odor-producing surface: it Identifies the odor molecules, Binds with them, Absorbs them, Breaks them down, and Eliminates them permanently. The result is true odor elimination, not a cover-up. Once the odor molecules are gone, the smell is gone for good unless the odor is reintroduced.
Does it just mask odors with fragrance?
No. Most sprays cover bad smells with a heavier fragrance. The Stink Solution works differently. OAM Technology eliminates the odor molecules themselves upon contact. Our scented versions leave a light, pleasant fragrance, but that scent is separate from the elimination process. The unscented version eliminates odors just as effectively with zero added fragrance.
Will the odor come back?
No. Once The Stink Solution eliminates an odor, it is gone permanently unless the odor source is reintroduced. For example, if a pet has another accident in the same spot, simply re-apply. The product does not wear off or fade over time.
How is this different from other odor eliminating sprays?
Most sprays rely on heavy fragrance, enzymes, or chemical masking agents. The Stink Solution uses a medical-grade OAM formula that is plant-based, enzyme-free, and non-toxic. It eliminates odors at the molecular level rather than covering them up, and it is safe to use on virtually any surface, including skin, pet fur, fabrics, carpet, and hard surfaces.
Is The Stink Solution also a disinfectant?
No. The Stink Solution is an odor eliminator, not a disinfectant. It will not kill bacteria or viruses. For surfaces that also need to be sanitized, use a separate disinfecting product first, then apply The Stink Solution to eliminate any remaining odors.
How To Use It
What is the most effective way to apply the product?
Spray generously and saturate the source of the odor. OAM Technology needs to fully penetrate the smelly material to eliminate the odor completely. A light mist is not enough for strong or deeply embedded odors. The most common reason the product does not work is not using enough of it. More is always better.
How much spray do I need to use?
It depends on the surface and the strength of the odor. A light garment may only need 10 to 20 sprays on each side. A car with heavy smoke odor requires saturating the seats, floor mats, ceiling, trunk, and all other fabric surfaces. When in doubt, use more, not less.
Do I need to vacuum my carpet after applying it?
No, let the carpet dry naturally. If any physical debris remains from the odor source after your initial cleaning, re-vacuuming after everything dries is fine, but it is not required for odor elimination.
I sprayed the product and the odor is still there. What should I do?
In almost every case, this comes down to saturation. OAM Technology needs to fully contact and penetrate every surface where odor is present. Re-apply and saturate thoroughly. For strong odors like skunk or heavy smoke, a second full application is often needed. Make sure you have treated every surface the odor could have reached, including hidden areas like under seats, inside cushions, or behind panels. If you are still not satisfied, reach out to us within 14 days and we will make it right.
Can I use The Stink Solution as an air freshener?
You can spray it into the air if you enjoy the fragrance, but spraying into the air will not eliminate odors. To eliminate a smell, you must spray directly onto the surface where the odor is coming from. OAM Technology works by contacting odor molecules on surfaces, not floating ones in the air.
Do I need to dilute the product with water?
No. The Stink Solution is ready to use at full strength. Do not dilute it with water.
How do I use the Laundry Booster?
Shake the bottle before each use. Add 1/2 cup directly into the drum of your washing machine before adding your laundry. One bottle provides approximately 32 loads. It works alongside your regular detergent to eliminate odors from clothing, bedding, towels, sports gear, and more.
Odors and Surfaces
What odors does it eliminate?
The Stink Solution eliminates virtually any odor, including pet odors, smoke of all types, skunk spray, body odor and sweat, urine, bathroom odors, kitchen odors, musty and mildew smells, sports and hockey gear odors, car odors, and hunting and camping gear odors. We have not found an odor it cannot eliminate.
Are there any odors it will not work on?
We have not found one. The Stink Solution is designed to eliminate any odor from any surface. For particularly extreme odors like fresh skunk spray or deeply embedded smoke, the key is complete saturation and potentially a second application.
Where can I use it?
Almost anywhere. Common uses include carpets, furniture, upholstery, curtains, and mattresses throughout the home; car seats, floor mats, trunks, and ceilings; clothing, bedding, and towels in the laundry; hockey gear, pads, bags, and sports equipment; directly on pet fur, bedding, and kennels; hunting gear, camping equipment, coolers, and tents; and RVs and boats.
Does it work on skunk odor?
Yes. For best results with skunk spray, we recommend our Skunk Odor Remover Kit, which includes a two-step system: a Bath Booster for washing your pet directly, and a 16 oz spray for treating surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars. For skunk odor, thorough saturation and a second application are often needed given the intensity of the smell.
Can I use it on pet accidents, urine, and feces?
Absolutely. First clean the affected area to remove any solid matter or liquid. Then saturate the area with The Stink Solution and let it air dry. The OAM formula will eliminate the odor completely, including the smell that can cause pets to return to the same spot.
Does it work on smoke smell in a car or house?
Yes. The Stink Solution is highly effective on all types of smoke including cigarette, cigar, cannabis, campfire, and house fire smoke. For a smoke-saturated car, spray the seats, floor mats, ceiling, trunk, and all fabric surfaces and let air dry. For a home or room, spray all soft surfaces including furniture, curtains, carpets, and walls. One thorough application is usually enough. For very heavy smoke buildup, a second application may be needed.

Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. The Stink Solution is 100% non-toxic, plant-based, enzyme-free, and biodegradable. It is safe for use around children, pets, and people with allergies. It is even safe to spray directly on pet fur and skin.
Will it irritate my skin or lungs?
No. The formula contains no toxins, harmful enzymes, or nerve agents. It is not irritating to skin or lungs, and it is safe to spray directly on skin, hair, and pet fur.
Will it stain my furniture, carpet, or clothing?
No. The Stink Solution is colorless and will not stain any fabric, surface, or material. It leaves no residue behind and will not damage upholstery, carpet, wood finishes, or clothing.
Is it vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. The Stink Solution is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Our formula is plant-based and biodegradable, with no animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing.
Does it contain enzymes?
No. The Stink Solution is enzyme-free. Unlike enzyme-based cleaners, OAM Technology does not rely on live cultures or biological agents. This means it works immediately on contact, does not need to activate, and is stable on the shelf without refrigeration.
